18th Avenue Feast in Brooklyn 2023
“When is the 18th Avenue Feast?” is usually the question people start asking in the Spring.
Also known as the Festa di Santa Rosalia, this year the Feast of St. Rosalie or the Italian feast will be held from Thursday, August 17th to Sunday, August 27th from 68th Street to 75th Street.
Time? It’s not on the sign, but during the week, The Feast opens at 6:00 pm and closes at 11:00 pm. On the weekend, it opens at 2:00 pm.
SAUSAGES AND ZEPPOLES
Lucy’s sausages and zeppoles are on 70th Street and 13th Avenue. They also sell grilled octopus.
Stella’s sausage and zeppoles were on 74th Street and 13th Avenue. A friend brought us some and they were very good!
MISSING FROM THE FEAST THIS YEAR
Carmine and his brother, Nino aren’t there this year. The two brothers usually sell seafood salad and very fresh clams near Villabate. There was an illness in their family, so they sent a message that they will be back next year.
Games are all $5.00 each this year – last year they were higher.
Angelo Venuto and his family will be there on Thursday, August 24th! This is the night to go!
Maria Venuto will perform again on Saturday, August 26th. So will Nastasti.
On Sunday, August 27th there is a procession at 2:00 pm and mass at 3:30 pm at St. Dominic’s Church on 20th Avenue and Bay Ridge Parkway. Refreshments at Villabate Alba after the mass.
