Bridgeview Pharmacy in Bay Ridge Closed

Bridgeview Pharmacy on 3rd Avenue and 89th Street closed their doors permanently last night.

The cost of running a business keeps increasing as rents continues to climb. Many businesses aren’t making enough money to stay open.

Bridge Pharmacy was a great neighborhood place. I realized that at the start of the pandemic when they were stocked with all our pandemic needs.

Prescriptions have been transferred to Rite Aid on 3rd Avenue and 93rd Street. Tomorrow (Friday), Maria will start working there.

People who go to Bridge Pharmacy probably don’t want to go to Rite Aid (or else they already would have). These customers like the small store and the advice they received at Bridge Pharmacy, so what other small pharmacies are in the area?

Narrows Pharmacy on 4th Avenue and 100th Street *Three pharmacists who will talk with customers and are helpful. They will try and contact doctors if your prescription is ending.

New Victory on 92nd Street and 4th Avenue – the pharmacist is Chris is helpful.

Farmacon 8007 5th Avenue 718-238-1090. A lot of people love this place.

Neugards Pharmacy on 3 Avenue and 74th Street. Michael from Waldinger’s has been there since Waldingers closed.

If you want to travel to Dyker Heights, there is Dyker Heights Pharmacy at 8016-13TH Avenue

Good luck to Steve, Maria and the staff. This Mom and Pop local pharmacy was a gem and this is a loss to our neighborhood.

Hugs,
marlene

Good luck. Thanks for all your help over the years. You saved me many times with your advice and caring ways. Your pharmacy was run with love for your customers. Your decorations, your products. Always for the service and enjoyment of your customers. Thank you so much.

This by far is the most devastating loss to this neighborhood. Steve and Maria made everyone who walked through those doors feel like family. I am disgusted beyond belief of what has come of this state and country. ?.Thank you Steve and Maria for keeping bayridge alive and well for all the years you have. No one and no corporation will ever top you both.

We are truly shocked and saddened by this news. We’ve been going to Bridge Pharmacy for many years and considered them the best pharmacists ever! Steve and Maria were always personable, attentive, caring and made you feel like family. They will be sorely missed. Hope they can open up another place in Bay Ridge that’s even better.

    Ken

We were shocked, and saddened to learn that Bridge Pharmacy had closed it’s doors. The entire staff at Bridge was warm, and welcoming, and during the pandemic they were a community resource and mainstay. Steve, Maria and Eric were always available to answer a question, or to help with a refill. Barbara, Janey and the young men who made deliveries never failed to brighten our days. We had moved to Bay Ridge in 2019, just before the pandemic, and though we’d never met any of the staff in person, they acted like they’d known us for years. Their sevice, and love for our community, is irreplaceable will be so sorely . missed. I wish all of them the best of luck. You will be temembered, and missed by all of us!

I’m so saddened by this. My elderly k can’t properly navigate rite aid and they can’t seem to find her prescriptions. It’s so frustrating and disheartening. I feel for Maria. I also feel for my mom. We deliberately stayed away from corporate pharmacy chains because of how they kill our neighborhood
