Bay Ridge Store Robbed 9801-3rd Avenue 2/23/18
Last night, the corner grocery/deli at 9801 3rd Avenue was robbed. The news called it a bodega, but that’s what they call all the small stores in NYC, even though no one here calls it a bodega. This store is on the corner of Marine Ave and 3rd Avenue.
The news released that the suspect was a 6 ft tall black man, but the people in the area who saw him said he was white. In the last robbery, the last suspect was also identified as being black at first by a reporter, but then the video showered he was white. Councilman Brannan shared that this is the same man who did other robberies in the area. The news said the incidents aren’t connected. Councilman Brannan stated that he was told they were.
Even the suspect’s clothes sound the same, like he hasn’t changed his clothes (black puff jacket and the same grey sweatpants).
The suspect got away in a Cadillac SUV. He used a silver gun.
Adam West shared this description today (2/25): Male white, 30s, Approximately 6ft tall, Approximately 180 lbs, Wearing a black hat, a black North-face jacket with hood up over his head and gray baggy sweat pants. He took approximately $175.
This is the 3rd robbery in Bay Ridge in a week (but 4 all together). Robbery three days ago in Bay Ridge
