IF your kids are young, have a celebration early! If your kids are older and can stay up to 12 am, scroll down.
1) Go to Pizzeria Uno in Bay Ridge (718) 748-8667 and Celebrate with them at 4 or 6 pm – they do a cute balloon drop ( call and make reservations because these fill up fast)
2) New Utrecht Library is having a Noon Year’s Eve Party for Kids at 12 Noon. (More info here) 1743 – 86th Street
Celebrate New Years Eve at the library with a Noon Years Eve party! Join us for a story time with books, songs, and a countdown to 12 o’clock (in the afternoon)!
3) Free ice skating at 6pm in Coney Island
4) Have a party at home – print them hats , make a balloon countdown clock – it’s super easy, check out these simple ideas, look at some more ideas here.
If your kids stay up until Midnight, you can:
- Go to Coney Island – free rides on the carousel in Luna Park (6pm) and ice skating at 6pm info
- Go to Prospect Park – Grand Army Plaza fireworks show – show 11 pm free.
- 21st ANNUAL NEW YEARS EVE 5K RUN held by the Brooklyn Road Runners Prospect Park, Park Slope Brooklyn 11215… Start and Finish on 9th St and Prospect Park West START TIME: 11:15 PM
- Go on a walking tour with this group over the Brooklyn Bridge $35 for adults/$20 for kids (or just walk over the bridge yourself for free)
- New Year’s Eve Bike Ride – I’ve never seen this before!
