Changes in Building Zoning-CB 10’s Meeting

Community Board 10 Zoning Meeting for September. (See video)
1) The Hebrew Academy For Special Children (HASC) School at 6220 14th Avenue serves children. This is for children 5-20 years old with special needs. It is for both girls and boys. This 8000 square ft school has been at this location for 40 years.
They want to make an extension to add a gymnasium, occupational therapy area and an open play area on the roof.
An elevator would be added to make the building accessible. They aren’t adding more students to the building.
The public was told about the meeting, but no one spoke at the meeting.
CB 10 voted in favor of the extension.
2) A homeowner on Harborview Terrace wants to extend her home. The plans are to change the pointed roof so there is room in the attic. (108 sq. feet)

The public was told about the meeting. One person came and asked the question: “Have the houses on Narrows Avenue been advised?” Yes. Will the frontage on the 1st and 2nd floor match? Yes.
3) Two variances were requested for Bay Ridge Prep

The Committee voted in favor of the two variances for the school.
Hugs,
