Best Gardening Center or Greenhouse for Plants in Bay Ridge

 

If you are looking for a greenhouse for plants, bushes, trees or seeds, head to:

 

1) Imbriale – Hamilton Landscaping, Garden & Supply 9215 Fort Hamilton Pkwy – they have a large selection of plants, some exotics too, herbs, specialty and they will take requests. I find their prices to be reasonable when I am buying a lot. When I am buying  a little, their prices are higher than Home Depot. Their quality of plants is excellent. It’s near the highway.

 

2) Indoor Outdoor Gardener – Hydroponics – 8223 5th Avenue – Small store on the Avenue selling pretty flowers and plant accessories, but it has a yard out back with more plants.  Plants are more expensive than Home Depot. They have a good section of indoor plants. At Christmas time, they sell nice poinsettias and wreaths. Helena can tell you how to bring most plants back to life.

 

3) Brooklyn Floral Wholesale Market – Ovington Avenue and 7th Avenue they have a lot of general plants – marigolds, petunias, geraniums, etc. A much smaller selection. I go here for general things like marigolds. The place used to be well stocked and was better cared for than it is now. 

 

Outside of Bay Ridge:

 

1) Shannon Florist – Fort Hamilton Parkway (across from Greenwood Cemetery). I swear by this place as I have gone there for over 20 years – family-owned. They have large geraniums, while most stores have smaller hybrids.
