Cyclist Hit on 10th Avenue in Dyker Heights

A cyclist was hit on 10th Avenue between 80th and 81st Street around 3:15 pm. He was riding in the bike lane and a car veered into him TWICE and then drove away! The cyclist went to the hospital and has internal bleeding and bruises, but thankfully he will be okay.

Plenty of Fireworks in Dyker Heights on July 4th

Bay Ridge was quiet on July 4th compared to the years before when it sounded like bombs going off in the neighborhood. There were plenty of fireworks in Dyker Heights, but less than other years. I think some people didn’t use theirs because of the rain and they will be setting them off this weekend.
