Councilman David Carr, who represents a small section of our area had a resolution that just passed in NYC Council. April 17th will be a day of recognition of the Verrazzano Bridge and Italian-Americans because on April 17, 1524, Giovanni da Verrazzano became the first European to see New York Harbor.

Update 4/13: Chester was found this morning in the family’s backyard in a hole. The family checked there before, but this morning he was there! Hooray! Chester is a very friendly cat. Chester has only one partially working eye.

Wednesday, April 10th, 202418th Avenue Accident – Five People Went to the Hospital
Five people were sent to the hospital tonight after an accident on 18th Avenue and 76th Street around 7:15 pm tonight. (See overhead photo and story here) (See Citizen App video) An 89-year-old Brooklynite had a medical episode which caused the accident. (See here) Prayers that all four people are okay.
