2) Ridge Kids will have the Easter Bunnyy on Saturday, April 16th from 12-2!
3) Brooklyn Volkswagon at 5226 Kings Hwy is having an Easter egg hunt and free photos with the Easter Bunny from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Their Peter Rabbit costume isn’t dirty or janky – he’s cute and clean.

4) Green Acre Farms at Aviator – Visit the Easter Bunny and an Egg Hunt
5) Staten Island Egg Hunt

The window of a white caravan was broken yesterday on 86th Street (near Dahlgren). On top of the vehicle was a ladder, so someone may have been looking for equipment.

April 16, 2022Four Men Were Arrested for Early Morning Robbery in Bay Ridge on April 10th

The Home Reporter has a story about a 27-year-old man in our area who was beat up and robbed in his car on Sunday, April 10th at 6:00 am. (Source) This happened on Gatling Place and 92nd Street in Bay Ridge.
Four men were arrested for the robbery. They had the man’s cell phone and ring. The newspaper wrote that one of the suspects had a gun.

April 15, 2022Century 21 Department Store Acquires Another Property Before They Build on 86th Street in Bay Ridge

ASG Equities, the real estate used by the Gindi family purchased all of the property that went with the Century 21 Department Store on 86th Street in Bay Ridge.
They purchased it from Julian and Sharon Smith Family Trust. (See here)

Now they are ready to build something great on 86th Street.

April 15, 2022Manhattan Receives Free Garbage Cans

Erik Bottcher, a new NYC Councilman representing Greenwich Village and Hell’s Kitchen, offered his constituents rat-proof garbage cans for their building from the NYC Department of Sanitation.
Too bad Bay Ridge doesn’t have a Councilmember to distribute these cans to the community.
In our area, garbage cans keep disappearing. The NYC Department of Sanitation removed garbage cans from Fort Hamilton Parkway so garbage flies around the Avenue.

April 15, 2022Bay Ridge Man Gave First Aid at 36th Street

Connor Armstrong, a 34-year-old from Bay Ridge retold his story about being on the N Train with the shooter on April 12th to The Tablet. (Story)
When Armstrong exited the train at 36th Street, he helped give first aid to passengers who were shot.
After helping people, Connor walked from 36th Street to the Barclays Center and got on the 4 train to Manhattan to go to work.

April 15, 2022Baseball For 12-17 Year Old Children – 68th Pct

The 68th Precinct shared that their Blue Chip Baseball teams are free for children 12 – 17 years. This is for both boys and girls.
The first practice is April 20th. Teams meet twice a week. They aren’t just doing baseball with the young people, they are teaching them financial literacy, offering homework help, college prep and having field trips!
