May 27, 2025Brad Lander Wants to Debate Malliotakis on Wednesday Night in Bay Ridge

Congresswoman Malliotakis shared this information about SALT:
A) Your income tax and property tax would be deductible Families under $500,000 income will benefit from this deduction
B) Bonus deduction for Seniors $4000 if they make less than $75,000 (or $8000 if you are married couple with less than $150,000 income).
C) Families with children would get a larger deduction – $2500.00
*But this bill has to go to the Senate and they will make changes. We don’t know what cuts are in the bill for Medicare or for Food Stamps for families in need.
Brad Lander, who is running for NYC Mayor wants to debate Malliotakis at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. I’m surprised Good Shepherd Lutheran Church wants to participate in this stupidity.

Lander doesn’t want to speak to President Trump, so he figures he will go after Malliotakis. I hope someone goes to this meeting on Wednesday night and calls out Brad Lander for playing politics!

May 26, 2025Not Enough Lifeguards at Brooklyn Beaches 2025

NYC has been training lifeguards during the Winter months, so residents in Coney Island thought there would be more life guards this Summer.
On Memorial Day, there were no lifeguards on duty from West 20th Street to West 33rd Street.

There were three lifeguards between Stillwell Avenue and the Steeplechase Pier.

There was one lifeguard chair staffed on the beach in front of the Parachute Jump.

Residents are worried that there aren’t enough lifeguards to keep people safe at the beach this season.
