Why Isn’t the 68th Precinct Ticketing Illegally Parked Cars on 4th Avenue and 94th Street?
The manager of Hunter Steakhouse came to Community Board 10 tonight to talk about the corner of 94th Street and 4th Avenue.
NYC is doing construction on 4th Avenue and 95th Street to install an elevator to the train.
The construction crew was going to shut down 4th Avenue between 94th and 95th Street, but the manager of Hunter’s was able to get them to leave a spot for Access-A-Ride to pull up on 94th Street and 4th Avenue. This also allows for the residents in that area to put out their garbage for pickup.
There is a clear no standing sign on that spot on 4th Avenue and 94th Street, but people keep parking there. Access-A-Ride can’t pull up and let people out there.
Cars parking in the no standing zone are not getting ticketed. The police went to the location, but did not ticket the illegally parked cars. Why? This is an easy one!
Ticket the illegally parked cars, so seniors can use the Access-A-Ride and go to Hunter’s Restaurant with their family and friends! It is a season of celebrations, so politicians and the police should be helping people have access to this restaurant and street!
Leadership here is almost non-existent and this restaurant shouldn’t have to deal with this!
