Why Doesn’t Senator Andrew Gounardes Think These NY’ers Have a Right to Shelter?

It’s very sad that people ride the R train into Bay Ridge every morning and no politicians will help them. These residents must have a right to shelter.
Years ago, Gounardes captivated people by saying that the aid and care of the needy are public concerns and shall be provided by the state:
But Gounardes is only interested in campaigning in the subway – not helping these NY’ers who ride into Bay Ridge each morning.
Ranting about the Constitution in Albany is all Andrew Gounardess wants to do. The way he speaks sounds like he is talking down to his colleagues. Play video:
You can smell it in the air: it's New York State Constitution Day! ???

Today, we celebrate the document that lit up our state's future, shining a light that burns to this day.

This was 2023:
This was 2021:
New York politicians, including Gounardes voted to gerrymander congressional district maps. (See here)
Years before, Andrew Gounardes went off on Republicans for gerrymandering. But when he had the chance to make fair maps, Gounardes couldn’t speak out for Brooklyn.
Gounardes should go teach in a college or law school, so he can stand up and rant. You won’t see him standing up for Bay Ridge like this in Albany!
